The Ancient Faith

What Makes Orthodoxy Unique

I

Orthodox Beauty

The Orthodox Church is the One, Holy, and True Church — the living Body of Christ, carried through the centuries, unbroken and radiant with grace. Her roots stretch back to Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended in fire and truth upon the Apostles. From that sacred day, she has remained the same Church, calling all into communion with God.

II

Apostolic Succession

The Orthodox Church passes down unchanged through the centuries an unbroken tradition. At St. Nina Orthodox Mission in East Orlando, Florida, we are part of this ancient calling — preserving the apostolic succession of ordinations that began on Pentecost and continue to this day through our canonical bishops and priests.

III

Join the Orthodox Church

Our services are mostly in English, reflecting the beautiful diversity of our parish — Americans, Ukrainians, Russians, Belarusians, Georgians, and others. If you're searching for an Orthodox Church in Orlando, we warmly invite you to join our church family. Come and experience the fullness of the Orthodox faith.

We have been following Christ since 33 AD

The story of the Orthodox Church begins on the holy day of Pentecost, fifty days after the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. On that day, the Holy Spirit descended like a mighty rushing wind and appeared as tongues of fire upon the Apostles. Empowered by divine grace, they began to preach the Gospel in many languages, and about three thousand souls were baptized that very day — the birth of the Church.

Sacraments & Worship

Our Services

01

Saturday Vespers

Each Saturday evening we gather to offer evening prayers to the Lord. We serve traditional Orthodox Vespers, and on special feast days we celebrate the All-Night Vigil — a deeply moving and ancient form of Orthodox worship. Open to all.

02

Divine Liturgy

The Divine Liturgy is the central and most sacred service of the Orthodox Church — the mystical celebration in which we receive the true Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. We celebrate every Sunday at 10:00 AM, as well as on all Great Feasts.

03

Baptisms

Baptism is the first and foundational sacrament of the Orthodox Church — the sacred gateway into life in Christ. Through holy Baptism, we are washed of sin, united with Christ in His death and Resurrection, and born anew as children of God.

04

Weddings

"And the two shall become one flesh." (Matthew 19:5) Holy Matrimony is the sacrament in which a man and a woman are united in Christ, becoming one in heart, mind, and soul. We joyfully serve couples preparing for Orthodox Christian marriage.

05

Funerals

The Orthodox funeral service is a solemn and prayerful farewell, filled with hope in the Resurrection. We stand with families in their time of grief, offering pastoral care and the fullness of the Church's ancient funeral rites.

06

Friendly Community

"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1) At St. Nina Orthodox Church, we are more than a parish — we are a church family. We love, support, and encourage one another in faith. Come find a home.

It is a great blessing in emigration to find a place where you feel at home. St. Nina's Church has become just such a place for me — a place of sincerity, support, and a true family. Thanks to Father Andrei, who has created an atmosphere of warmth, care, and love.

We attended our first Sunday here and we knew right away there was a uniqueness about this church. God used Saint Nina to develop in us a stronger passion for Him.

St Nina has been like a bonus prize for me. Local pastors invited me to attend this church and I have fallen in love with Christ all over again because of Saint Nina's atmosphere.
