Lifting hearts to God through the ancient song of the Church
At Saint Nina Orthodox Church, our choir is far more than a musical ensemble — it is a ministry of prayer. Every Sunday and feast day, our singers lead the congregation in the ancient hymns and chants of the Orthodox Church, transforming the Divine Liturgy into a unified offering of worship.
Rooted in the rich tradition of Byzantine and Slavic chant, our music draws from centuries of accumulated prayer. Each melody has been refined by generations of faithful Christians who understood that singing in church is itself a form of theology — a way of proclaiming the Gospel not only with words, but with the whole voice and heart.
Our choir welcomes singers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you have sung all your life or are discovering Orthodox hymnody for the first time, there is a place for you among us.
We approach every rehearsal and service as an act of worship. The choir leads not to perform, but to guide the whole parish in unified prayer.
Our repertoire is drawn from Byzantine, Russian, and OCA liturgical traditions — chants that have carried the faith across centuries and continents.
No audition is required. We rehearse weekly and warmly invite anyone with a love for Orthodox worship and a desire to serve the Church through song.
The choir meets regularly to prepare for Sunday Liturgy, Great Vespers, and feast day services throughout the year.
