How We Support Our Mission
At Saint Nina Orthodox Mission we believe that stewardship is not simply a fundraising strategy — it is a spiritual discipline rooted in the Orthodox understanding of God as the source of all good gifts.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). We are not owners of what we have — we are stewards of what God has entrusted to us. The tithe — giving 10% of our income to the Church — is the biblical model of proportional giving, a way of anchoring our hearts in heaven rather than in the things of this world.
Giving is what God does — He gave His only Son. To give generously and proportionally is to act like God. It is holy. And God challenges us to test Him in this, promising to "open the windows of heaven" and pour out His blessing on those who tithe faithfully.
